Description
Known as "Ambassador of the Plains" this Jesse Chisholm statue has him on his horse holding a peace pipe and is located in downtown Kingfisher, OK.
Jesse Chisholm was of Scottish and Cherokee descent. He was deemed the "Abassador of the Plains" due to his speaking 14 native dialects; an interpreter in high demand back then. Best known as a fur trader and scout, also a guide and hunter.
A tidbit: While Chisholm blazed the trail named after him, he never drove cattle in his lifetime
